It has been tried, tested, and proven to be true. Whenever you make a particular audience watch a horrific scene of husband and mothers beating the girl-child - they cringe. Seeing the horrors they practice everyday behind closed doors suddenly becomes public. And someone out in front of hundreds of people is shouting to the whole world "this is wrong" , "stop it".
Theater plays a vital role in dissemination of information and the awareness to the people. In this connection, Dream Foundation has a theater group of youth including females who produce plays on various topics.
The Interactive Theater Group has covered topics such as Human Rights, Women Rights, Sexual and Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDs, Educational and even child-birth to child labour laws. The DFT Team hopes to further nurture this medium of social change in bringing about a more positive change in the local community.
