the best time to dream...

Teenagers and pre-teens are one of the most valuable resources of any community. Yet they are also the most volatile and confused. Especially in a low-income impoverished area in the out-skirts of Karachi, where the youth are aware of, and every day see the many wonderful offerings people from upper echelons of society have access to - but which are denied to them.
It is especially in areas suc h as "Moach Goth", and the surrounding areas that we as a society need to focus on the Youth to help them bridle their un-tapped potential, without falling victim to the confusions and frustrations dolled out by their surroundings.
Dream Foundation is committed to understanding the needs and expectations of our young people and incorporates their special needs through different programs aimed at bringing a constructive aspect to their enthusiasm towards Life.
A Youth Resource Center has been established to gather groups of young men & women onto a single platform. The center is run by Young but senior members of the Dream Foundation Trust. Furthermore, local teams are formed, with "Team Leaders" of a particular locality leading the initiatives in his/her own neighborhood. This is DFT's YOUTH NETWORK, and the teams supports groups of these local teens, through various activities, such as educational, social and recreational activities (e.g Dance and music performances). Engagement in a vibrant array of teen-focused activates as well as community work has proven very successful at leading the community youth towards peaceful living arrangements and focus on serious career building efforts.
Family Planning Association of Pakistan is collaborating with Dream in this category. There are 150 girls and 150 boys i.e. equal gender participating in these groups.
